Management Team

The SIEC Management team handles the day to day operations of the Cooperative.

David A. Johnston

Executive Vice-President & General Manager


David has been working in the electric utility industry for eight years. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and later graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.

Since employed at SIEC, David has successfully completed the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association’s Management Internship Program (MIP) and Certified Financial Professional Certificate (CFPC) program. He was recently nationally elected to the Member Advisory Committee for the accounting and business solutions module of the National Information Solutions Cooperative’s (NISC) iVue software.

David enjoys the outdoors, following the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and spending time with his family and friends.

Julie Wilke

Director of Administration & Finance


Julie Wilke joined the cooperative in May 2018. She graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in May 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  She began her career at a regional public accounting firm where she obtained her CPA license.  She worked in public accounting until 2004 when she began work at Electric Energy, Inc. in Joppa, Illinois.  She worked in the electric utility industry for 14 years prior to joining SIEC.

Julie and her husband David reside in rural Massac County. They have two children, Tanner and Sydney.

Julie enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Michael Logeman

P.E., Director of Engineering


Michael (Mike) Logeman serves as Director of Engineering and has been with the Cooperative since 1993.  Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.

Mike resides in rural Massac County, where he assists with managing his family’s grain and livestock farm.  He enjoys sports and working with youth in his local church and community.


Bree Hileman

Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services


Bree began her career at Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative  in 2003.  During this time, she has worked in the positions of Clerk, Office Services Representative, Payroll and Capital Credit Specialist and her current position of Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services.

Bree received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000.

Chris Boyd

Director Member Services


Chris Boyd started working at the Cooperative in November of 1997 as Staff Assistant.  He is now the Director of Member Services. 

For over ten years, he has served as the Executive Vice-President of SouthWater, Inc.  He is a member of the board of directors for Anna State Bank, the Union County Economic Development Corporation, and the Union County Hospital District.


John Harris

Director of Operations & Maintenance


John has been employed at Southern Illinois Electric since 1999. He began his duties as System Engineer, and was later also assigned the duties of Safety Director. In 2015 he assumed the position of Director of Operations and Maintenance.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Management and an Associate of Science in Electronics Technology from Southern Illinois University.

John and his wife Ashli live in Lick Creek. They have two children Gabrielle and Hannah.


Paul Jackson

Director of Right Of Way Management


Paul Jackson has been with the Cooperative since 2017.

Paul has a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

He began his professional career as a Forester for the state of Florida where he worked for over 8 years, before returning to the area to be closer to his family.

Paul enjoys cycling, bow hunting, traveling, and hiking in his free time.
